Presto Pasta Nights #269: the roundup

PPN269
It's Friday and time to share the pasta dishes that I have received as contributions to edition #269 of Presto Pasta Nights, the popular event created by Ruth of Once Upon a Feast. For each contribution, I will give you the official information (author, blog name and post title) and a short quote or brief description β€” a teaser that invites you to follow the link to read the relevant post.

Simona of briciole (your host for this week) presents strascinati with mint
Handmade pasta from Basilicata dressed with a variation on the popular theme of aglio, olio e peperoncino (hot chili pepper) with fresh mint.

And that concludes my roundup, which will be added to all the previous Presto Pasta Nights roundups and continue the lovely tradition started by Ruth of Once Upon a Feast.

As you read this, edition #270 is already under way, hosted by Heather of Girlichef. To participate, send your entries to girlichef AT yahoo DOT com and cc ruth AT 4everykitchen DOT com by Thursday, June 28.

Many thanks to all who contributed to produce an interesting collection of pasta dishes for this edition of Presto Pasta Nights. I do hope I have not left anybody out of the roundup. If you find that, notwithstanding my best intentions, I actually have omitted a post, please send me a note.

Arrivederci a presto

  1. Awesome hosting job, Simona – thanks so much! And thanks everyone for those very tasty pasta dishes. I didn’t get to share – too busy to do more than defrost some eggplant lasagna of my own. Hopefully I’ll do better next week.
Thanks again for sharing and I hope you all participate next week, too.

  2. Simona!
Wowsers! I can tell our pasta is handmade. What is the other name for this pasta – it starts with an O… I have to wrack my brain, now. The avocado one looks amazing, too… and I love the idea of the teaser… so much nicer than just the photo and the line.
I am still enamored by how prolific your site it.

  3. Thanks, Joanne.
Hi Valerie. I believe you are referring to orecchiette. I have actually never made those, but we will reach Puglia at some point in our tour, so maybe that will be the right time for me to try.

  4. Thank you so much for this great pasta collection, Simona.
I am impressed by the fantasy in mking different seasonig for it and love the way to re-new leftovers noodles! πŸ™‚
