crane fly on parsley

long-legged guest

My morning strolls in the garden have brought me and my camera lens in contact not only with snails and slugs, but also with long-legged insects called crane flies.

With each leg placed on a different parsley leaf, the insect seemed to enjoy its position and let itself be photographed without moving.

I have an abundance of parsley and no longer harvest from the plant in the photo, so I am not concerned about other creatures enjoying it.

  1. Beautiful creature, so delicate. Apparently someone else likes parsley, too. I’m glad there is plenty to share.
Thanks, Simona, for your very fine BWW photograph.
