I confess I never quite understood the complaint about having an oversupply of zucchini from one’s garden. Look at this beautiful display and think how many dishes you can prepare with the different varieties. Viva le zucchine!
The photos above are my contribution to edition #42 of Black and White Wednesday – A Culinary Photography Event created by Susan of The Well-Seasoned Cook and hosted this week by Roma of Roma’s Space.
The photos were shot in color and then converted to sepia.

hey! Nice shot of the zucchini collection. Thanks for participating in the BWW event.
Gadzukes! (Couldn’t resist. ; )) You always know it’s summer by the ubiquitous squash. Nicely rendered sepia shots, Simona. I’m getting up the courage to approach my farmers markets to photograph. I usually shoot by stealth.
You are welcome, Roma.
Ciao Susan 🙂 This table was particularly appealing as it showed the many varieties and blossoms. Even though it was early in the morning, the market was well frequented, so I didn’t have a lot of time. I like the perspective of the market visitor, being welcomed by such bounty.
eh si ….troppe zucchine…io non me ne sono mai lamentata…sono un ingrediente così versatile…si può andare dall’antipasto al dolce 😉
Makes a really nice photo in B&W.
Lovely shot. I’ve been using zucchini in a lot of recipes lately.
I think the midwestern United States had some vegetable issues in the 1950s and ’60s… they let their zukes get too big and thus they weren’t highly regarded! 😉
Ciao Lo. Ammetto di non aver ancora provato ad utilizzare le zucchine in una preparazione dolce. Devo rimediare.
Thanks, Paz.
Thanks, Ivy. It’s zucchini season in Greece too 😉
Hi Ruhama. That’s a very interesting piece of information. I can imagine the reaction. I hope the situation has improved in recent years.
